There were “Sister Marches” to the Women’s March in Washington DC in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and many cities worldwide. The Women’s March organizers reported that in the downtown Los Angeles area, an estimated 750,000 marched. Early reports out of Washington DC raised turnout from 200,000 to 500,000. The San Diego Police Department estimates the crowds to be more than 30,000 people, exceeding the expected 25,000.
