MiraCosta College Classified Senate Employee Scholarship ($500) for Spring 2017

Must be a MiraCosta permanent classified employee, or a dependent between the ages of 17-24 of a permanent classified employee. Classified staff must be current with their classified dues.

Must include proof of enrollment or intent to enroll in an education program; i.e. course description, class schedule, etc.

Deadline: Oct. 31, 2016

Fall 2016 MiraCosta College Osher Scholarships

($250 – $375 – $500 semester)

Students must be receiving a Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW), have already completed at least 24-degree applicable units with a 2.0 or greater degree applicable grade point average (GPA).

Awards are prorated based on enrollment up to $1,000 annually, $3,000 maximum: $500 full-time (12+ units), $375 three-quarter time (9-11 units) and $250 part-time (6-8 units). This scholarship is renewable each fall and spring semester the student continues to meet eligibility.

Fall 2016 MiraCosta College Winski Scholarships ($500 semester)

Students must have completed 12 or more units at MiraCosta College, full-time each semester, 3.0 GPA. Renewable scholarships based on maintaining full-time status and a 3.0 GPA each fall and spring up to four consecutive semesters, $500 per semester up to $2,000.

 Fall 2016 LIFE Scholarships for Foster Youth ($500)

Qualified candidates must be former Foster Youth participating in the RAFFY* program. (*RAFFY: Resources and Assistance for Former Foster Youth)

Students must have completed 12 units or more at MiraCosta College with a 2.0 or greater Grade Point Average (GPA), currently enrolled in 9 or more units, and demonstrate financial need. 

Deadline: Oct. 7, 2016

 Fall 2016 MiraCosta College Friends of Dance Scholarships ($500)

Qualified candidates must have completed six units of dance at MiraCosta College, plan to continue and enroll in six or more units at MiraCosta, have a 2.0 or greater GPA and demonstrate financial need.

The student must be majoring in Dance, or double majoring in Dance, or pursuing a dance certificate program.

Deadline: Oct. 31, 2016

 

MiraCosta College Wright Smith Family Study Abroad Scholarship ($1,000)

Student must intend to enroll full-time, or a minimum of 9 units, in a Study Abroad program

Deadline: open until awarded

 

Datron World Communications Employee/Family Member Scholarship ($500 – $1,000 semester)

Student must be a current Datron World Communications employee or a family member of an employee

Deadline: Open

 

MiraCosta College Spring 2017 Dorothy Pat McCoury Study Abroad Scholarship

Student currently enrolled at MiraCosta in six or more units with a 2.0 or greater grade point average (GPA), financial need, and plan to enroll in a MiraCosta College Study Abroad Program next semester.

Students must have already completed two transfer credit art* courses at MiraCosta; such as painting, drawing, architecture, ceramics, sculpture, etc. (art history not included).

2017-18 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships ($40,000 year)

Awards up to $40,000 per year to outstanding community college students, 3.5 – 4.0 GPA, who demonstrate a commitment to make the world a better place, have financial need, and plan to transfer Fall 2017 to a 4-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree.
