scarespartanFrom Oct.10, through the 17, the Service Learning and Volunteer Center will be hosting a food donation drive to provide an option for students in need. Donate unexpired, nonperishable, prepackaged food items in boxes at the Bookstore, Child Development Center, Cafeteria, Student Activities, Administration, Horticulture, CLC Lounge, Nursing Counseling and Student Center.

The Service Learning and Volunteer Center will be holding a series of events for Make a Difference Day this Friday 21, and Saturday the 22. Friday will be devoted to preparing for the upcoming holiday season at the Salvation Army in Oceanside, from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Shake rattle and roll Thursday earthquake drill

Yeah, you shook me all night long and Thursday morning too. At 10:20 a.m. Thursday, the college will be participating in “The Great Shake Out.” More participants will be involved statewide than any earthquake drill to date. MCC will test the campus emergency alert systems. Look alive Spartans, it is time to duck and cover.
