Accreditation Commission drops in on MCC–the seven year itch

The Accreditation Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, wrapped up a four-day evaluation of MiraCosta College Thursday to evaluate MCC’s  accreditation status. Their findings are generated in a report to the National Education Board, to verify the college offers the finest quality education and student resources. Evaluations are conducted every seven years.

Spartans serve community in remembrance of 9/11 fallen heroes

Service Learning put together a day of giving back Saturday in honor of the men and women who sacrificed all in the World Trade Center attacks Sept. 11, 2001. Saturday’s event “Service Projects and Open House” took place in three locations.

 The first, Wounded Warrior Homes was off of York Dr. in Vista. The Wounded Warrior Homes gardening project took place in two shifts 8-11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and focused on helping disabled veterans beautify the landscape of their homes.
